The Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation has relocated from its historic roots in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, to a state-of-the-art training centre nearby Schiphol International Airport to accommodate their recent growth.
After 28 years of JAA history in the Dutch town of Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, the Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation is relocating its operations to Beechavenue 1-19, Schiphol-Rijk – even closer to Amsterdam International Airport. The new location comes equipped with upgraded facilities, stylish interior design, and more space to accommodate growth.
The Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation (JAA TO) is pleased to announce the renewal of its status as an ICAO Regional Training Center of Excellence (RTCE).
PRESS RELEASE - The Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation (JAA TO) is pleased to announce the launch of its portfolio on Aviation Security. As the only Associated Body of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), one of JAA TO’s objectives is to support ECAC Member States in their mission to promote the continued development of a safe, efficient and sustainable European air transport system.
PRESS RELEASE - Approved by ICAO on the 22nd of November 2018: JAA TO’s first classroom-based Standardized Training Package (STP), the "Safety Management for Approved Maintenance Organisations under ICAO/EASA Rules" was delivered for the first time on 24 - 26 October 2018, in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.
INTERVIEW - “The growth in the aviation sector is expected to be more than doubled and we will need a lot of aviation professionals, such as pilots, air traffic controllers, flight dispatchers, engineers, and others”, the instructor explains to us in a video interview about the two courses he delivers at JAA TO.
TRAINING - Understanding the requirements of Initial Airworthiness can be difficult, but with the support of our specialists it is much easier. On 25 - 27 September 2018, our instructor Pim went to Taiwan to deliver the training course “ETSO/POA (Subpart G + EASA Internal POA working procedures)”.
EVENT - The JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) presented at the regional seminar "Crisis Management Plans in Aviation", which took place in Cyprus, last Friday, 12 October 2018. The event was organised by the Flight Safety Foundation- Mediterranean (FSF-MED) and HERMES AIRPORTS with the objective of highlighting the importance of having detailed Emergency and Contingency Response Plans in Aviation.
PRESS RELEASE: The Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation (JAA TO) is proud to announce that our Course Development Unit (CDU) Manager, Ms. Ceyrine Pellikaan, was elected Chairman of the ICAO-EASA Joint Language Proficiency Requirements Implementation Task Force (LPRI TF) on 9th October in Cologne, Germany.
NEWS - JAA TO continuously strives for the highest quality level at a competitive price level. For the last 10 years we have been able to deliver courses at the same price without yearly indexation. Nonetheless, overall costs within the economy have raised during this period. To maintain and improve our high-quality standards, JAA TO will adjust the course prices for the public schedule per January 2019.
INTERVIEW - by April 2019, all those involved with balloon operations in Europe should be compliant. If they are not compliant, the authorities will give them a penalty or even prohibit them to fly, if the findings are putting into risk the safety of civilians...
IN-HOUSE TRAINING - After the Training Needs Analysis (a new Program provided by JAA TO and exclusively to the CAAs of ECAC Member States), the CAA of Albania decided to hire JAA TO’s services for a few training courses...
TRAINING - Aviation professionals participated in the “EASA Part-145 Training Course” on 04 - 05 July 2018, at JAA TO’s headquarters. This training covers the Annex II to Implementing Rule EU 1321/2014 and the corresponding Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and Guidance Materials (GM).
TRAINING - Aviation professionals from the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Malta, Iceland, and even Japan participated of the “EASA Part-M General Training Course” on 02 - 03 July 2018, at JAA TO’s headquarters.
INTERVIEW - Mr. Astre, the instructor of the training course “ICAO GSI Operations – Air Operator Certification – 18700”, which took place for the first time at JAA TO in June, gave us an interview. He alerts CAAs about the importance of the GSI training courses.
NEW TRAINING - From 4 to 20 June, JAA TO was pleased to deliver the training course “ICAO GSI Operations – Air Operator Certification – 18700” for the first time! Professionals from the civil aviation authorities of several countries, as Italy, Azerbaijan, Benin, Israel, Curacao and Croatia, benefited from the experience and expertise of the highly qualified instructor, which came from ICAO to teach them at JAA TO.
PRESS RELEASE - The Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), Mrs. Avomo Assoumou Paule Koki, and the Director of the Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation (JAA TO), Mrs. Paula V. de Almeida, have signed together a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), at JAA TO’s Headquarters, in The Netherlands.
INTERVIEW - The ICAO State Safety Programme (SSP) is a mandatory system for Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) to guarantee the safety of civil aviation in their country. Two courses at JAA TO, which are exclusive for CAAs, address the state safety programme. In this interview, our instructor Hester explains in detail why having a proper SSP is extremely important for CAAs, and what the consequences are for not having one.
NEW TRAINING - JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) is pleased to inform that the Government Safety Inspector (GSI) training courses are now being hosted in Europe! These courses were developed as a collaborative effort between the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
