JAA TO is the only Associated Training Body of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) since 2009. In 2014, JAA TO became the first ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence (RTCE) in Europe. Two years earlier it had already become the very first European full member of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme (TPP). Learn more about it below.
The UN's International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) set up the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme (TPP) to promote training collaboration for the purpose of a safe, secure, and sustainable development of the global air transport. The TPP created the seal "Regional Training Centres of Excellence" (RTCEs), which is awarded to leading TRAINAIR PLUS Full Members satisfying a series of high-level criteria. Such highly qualified full members are required and enabled to develop and deliver ICAO Standardized Training Packages (ITP) using ICAO provisions (Annexes and guidance material). Furthermore, JAA TO has already been awarded two prizes from ICAO:

- In December 2018, an award from ICAO's Global Aviation Training (GAT) for the highest number of trained participants in the ICAO Training Managers Course (TMC).
JAA TO is the leading member of the EASA Virtual Academy (EVA) since its inception in 2015. JAA TO is also one of the few EASA-approved Ramp Inspection Training Organisations (RITO) - for full practical and recurrent courses for Inspectors.
EASA, the Agency of the European Union (EU), with regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civil aviation safety, developed the EASA Virtual Academy (EVA) to ensure that harmonised and high-quality training is available. The training providers offering EVA courses are selected on the basis of specific criteria regarding their legal, economic, technical and professional capacity to perform the required training.
