JAA TO and CAA North Macedonia Sign Valuable MoU During Annual HLT/5 Workshop

Schiphol-Rijk, The Netherlands. 04 April 2024 – As part of its annual exclusive training session for Director Generals/Delegates of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) Member States, the JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) hosts the 5th High-Level Training Workshop (HLT/5) on 04 – 05 April 2024. This workshop series presents a unique and safe platform for best practice sharing and knowledge transfer among Europe’s top aviation stakeholders on the most relevant aviation topics.

This year’s edition features a two-day event starting with the "Learning & Development Workshop for ECAC Heads of Training Departments" on Proper Preparation for Successful Civil Aviation Authority Training instrumental in delineating the training needs and strategies for overcoming shared challenges, fostering rich dialogues on the evolution of future training endeavours. ECAC Training Managers and HR Senior Managers join this workshop to understand better the aviation training requirements and L&D strategies for tackling common challenges across European authorities.

A highlight of the first session is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Civil Aviation Agency of North Macedonia and JAA TO marking a significant step towards sustainable training collaboration. The MoU is signed by the CAA’s Director General Tomislav Tuntev and JAA TO CEO Paula V. de Almeida aiming to enhance the capacity building and organisational effectiveness of the authority’s personnel by providing access to programmes, courses, advisory services, training consultancy and knowledge solutions.

Director General Tuntev remarks, “Through this partnership with JAA TO, we anticipate the enrichment of our authority’s capabilities and the further development of our personnel’s expertise. Investing in the professional knowledge of employees is the most profitable investment for any institution. Today’s signing marks the start of fruitful collaboration and we are eager to embark on this journey with such a prestigious European entity.”

CEO Almeida adds, “The collaboration with North Macedonia is a testament to our shared vision and commitment to excellence in aviation safety and security. Under the leadership of Mr. Tuntev we foresee a future where both our organisations contribute significantly to the advancement of the aviation sector.”

As the Associated Body of ECAC, JAA TO remains at the forefront of delivering advanced regulatory aviation training solutions, ready to address new and evolving trends. The HLT/5 workshop continues with a Director General session on Facilitation matters tomorrow, setting the scene for JAA TO’s ambitious tradition of excellence in aviation education and collaboration.
