Introduction

This workshop is a continuation from our ICAO and EASA Safety Management System Requirements – Introduction course which must have been completed before this workshop can be attended. It will ensure that there is an opportunity for the delegate to develop the hands-on experience of conducting Hazard identification and Risk Management techniques in addition to more advanced methodologies using case studies throughout the course.

Further your knowledge and practical application of modern SMS techniques.

By attending this workshop, you will receive mentoring, tuition and the opportunity to partake in practical exercises to allow you to further develop your SMS application skills.

Course Content

The course will cover the following topics:

  • Hazard Identification
  • Hazard Log Development
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation
  • Risk Register Development
  • Safety Performance Monitoring and Measurement
  • Safety Performance Indicator Development
  • Management of Change (MOC)
  • MOC Log Development
  • Dynamic Risk Management Dashboard Development

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Develop a strategy for the implementation of the necessary practical tools to allow an effective Safety Management System to function.
  • Perform Hazard Identification and Risk Management in response to the requirements mandated for a service providers management system in various EU aviation regulations.
  • Understand and develop further dynamic methodologies for managing risk to an acceptable level.

  • Regulation (EU) 1178/2011;
  • Regulation (EU) 965/2012;
  • Regulation (EU) 1321/2014;
  • Regulation (EU) 2017/373;

Successful completion of the JAATO ICAO & EASA Safety Management System Requirements – Introduction course

2 days, with Day 1 starting at 09:00 and finishing at 16:30; Day 2 starting at 09:00 and finishing at 15:00.
