Introduction
Security is critical to the success of any organisation’s business operating in aviation. Robust security management is characterised by a comprehensive understanding of the nature of threats, threat resilience and compliance awareness.
This course is meant for security managers to understand their role and responsibilities in establishing and maintaining security and internal quality control programme, including its implementation, arising from applicable laws and regulations catering aviation security (AvSec). The training also aims to provide insight into the evolving threat against civil aviation and the measures to be taken to mitigate security risks to the aviation system as a whole.
This training is based on the latest requirement set out in ICAO Annex 17 and the European regulation for Aviation Security (EC 300/2008 and EC 2015/1998).
The 5-day training teaches the use of a risk-based approach to improve resilience within the organisation establishing AvSec compliance.
