Introduction

This course is delivered in cooperation with Search and Rescue International (Ltd).

A 3-day workshop designed to give the student an understanding of the operator's management system specific to the Helicopter SAR environment. The course is presented by instructors with first-hand experience in SAR AOC Management, SAR Operations, Aviation Regulations and IAMSAR requirements.

To inform, distinguish and interpret the specific SAR helicopter management system requirements in accordance with applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

• SAR AOC Management team - Accountable Manager, Nominated Persons, Safety Manager, Compliance Monitoring Manager, Technical Crew Manager (Ops/Trg)
• NAA (Competent Authority) inspectors
• Personnel with responsibility for  contracting SAR activities

Pre-requisites

No essential prerequisites.

Desirable prerequisites:

• Personnel currently part of an AOC management team responsible for SAR activities
• Personnel with a desire to become involved in Helicopter AOC management
• Personnel with responsibility for  contracting SAR activities

3 Days course, starting at 9:00 and finishing at 17:00.
