LP 1: Airport Safety Specialist

This Learning Path provides a comprehensive foundation in aerodrome safety oversight, airside operations, runway safety, and the deployment of Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems (A-SMGCS). By combining regulatory knowledge with practical, hands-on perspectives, participants are prepared to manage operational safety in complex airport environments.

Key Courses:

Target Audience: Aerodrome Safety Inspectors, Airport Operations Managers, ANSP Staff, Technical Teams, and Emergency Planners.

LP2: Airport Management & Oversight Specialist

This advanced Learning Path equips professionals with the expertise to lead strategic airport management, certification, and oversight. Designed for senior professionals, this advanced path focuses on strategic airport management, certification, and oversight, while addressing emerging challenges such as UAS integration, digitalisation, and advanced airport-network coordination.

Target Audience: Senior Airport Managers, Planners, Regulators, UAS integration Specialists, and Aerodrome Consultants.

On 02 December, 10:00, JAA TO and EUROCONTROL will host a live webinar to launch the two Learning Paths (LPs). The webinar will be hosted in EUROCONTROL's "ALC Unpacked" series, and the LP Subject-Matter-Experts will present insights into the training courses.

Certification & Registration

Upon completion, participants receive a joint JAA TO-EUROCONTROL Certificate of Achievement, symbolising their expertise in both operational and regulatory domains.

Course fees and registrations are either with JAA TO or EUROCONTROL respectively, based on individual course(s) taken.

By combining regulatory and operational perspectives, the Learning Paths help ensure that aviation professionals are equipped not only to comply with standards but also to actively contribute to innovation, safety enhancement, and environmental performance through harmonised, competency-based learning.
