The ideal candidate
The Learning & Course Representative will be a strong, solution oriented and practical colleague, who is responsible, self-sufficient, flexible, versatile, and most importantly – ready to embrace exciting challenges.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside four other colleagues in an international dynamic working environment, carrying out the work and projects of a small department, learn all its processes and procedures, and further develop it into an efficient well-functioning unit.
The CDU is currently a small department, comprising the Manager of the Course Development Unit and three Learning & Course Development Representatives and Executives, operating under the supervision of the Director of Business Solutions & Strategic Partnerships. More than 80 qualified external instructors and subject matter experts (SME’s) are freelancers dealing with the CDU on a regular basis. Therefore, in order to help strengthen this department, the new professional will be required to assume a variety of responsibilities which range from simple administration of daily activities (such as answering calls and emails), to preparation/review/configuration/distribution of course materials, to liaison with course instructors and trainees, up to course maintenance and supporting course development and project management.
As the CDU continues to grow, this role presents an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development. Due to the essential internal training and development processes, applicants for this position should be seeking a long-term role and demonstrate a strong interest in developing their skills in Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBTA).
This position involves specialised training and certifications that require significant investment; therefore, a strong commitment to the role is expected.
The Learning & Course Development Representative will be fulfilling the tasks in accordance with the JAA TO Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) methodology, based on the ADDIE model. This includes ensuring that learning objectives, instructional strategies, assessments, and delivery methods are coherently aligned with regulatory requirements, while effectively integrating and structuring content provided by subject matter experts into a compliant, learner-centred training program.
The company’s core-values* are Respectful, Committed, Result-Oriented, Service-Oriented, Honourable, Professional and Collaborative.
