Introduction

Helicopter operations in the EU & EFTA States are governed by EU Regulations. Competent Authorities involved in the certification and oversight of Helicopter Operators and associated Flight Crew/Cabin Crew/Technical Crew are required to undertake familiarisation training pertaining to this regulation. In addition, Commercial and Non-Commercial Operators across the helicopter air operations domain must demonstrate compliance with the relevant requirements mandated therein. This course introduces the structure and basic principles of the Basic Regulation (2018/1139) in addition to the structure and contents of the Air Operations Regulation (EU) 965/2012 as applicable to Helicopter Operators. The training courses also addresses the regulatory changes as a result of commission regs (EU) 2024/1111 and 2024/2076.
