JAA TO, the leading organisation that offers training courses on International and European aviation safety rules and regulations, is being pioneer one more time by offering a new course on the recently updated regulations for De-Icing procedures. Just in time for the winter, the new open course “Aircraft De-icing/Anti-icing on the Ground” brings the updated and latest standards and requirements. It provides understanding of the basics on aircraft de-icing/anti-icing procedures and discusses the global standards now required for practice. The JAA TO-qualified instructor, Arjen Piest, is an experienced consultant in airport/airline operations with expertise in winter operations and management of Central De-icing Facilities. He will guide you into the rules to prevent aircrafts from getting into winter accidents.

“If you work directly or even indirectly in aviation during winter times, this course is highly recommended for you. Here we teach you the new de-icing processes, also known as anti-icing, and you will greatly benefit from this course”, says Piest. It is relevant for personnel from aircraft operators, ground handling companies, maintenance organisations, and de-icing/anti-icing service providers. Authority inspectors and pilots are also welcome. “In fact, the course is open to anyone, but a basic aviation knowledge is beneficial”, stresses the instructor.
As in all our courses, students can take home an exclusive book developed by the instructor within JAA TO’s Course Development Unit for JAA TO students.
The content is far-reaching. Specifically, the course discusses why de-icing/anti-icing is required, the regulations involved, the change to SAE Global Standards, types of Contamination, aircraft De-icing Fluids (ADF), De-icing/anti-icing methods, one-step and two-step treatments, spray techniques, Hold Over Time (HOT), different types of De-icing trucks, training for personal safety, besides quality control.
Content is explained in a concise, interactive and illustrative manner.
The next sessions are scheduled to take place in time for the winter, very soon, in October, November and December, at the JAA TO headquarters, which is located in the Amsterdam area, next to the Schiphol airport, in the Netherlands. It only takes 2 days, from 9.00 to 17.00, and there are still available seats. Book yours, if you want to save your spot, by clicking on the link: http://bit.ly/2xRgUH5
